Many people know about Ukraine and that Ukrainian women are one of the most beautiful women in the world. Also, foreigners used to know that women from Ukraine are oriented toward the family. Yes, it’s the truth but nobody really tried to discover the reason for this. This is what I am going to tell you about today. I am sure that after reading this post, many questions in your head will disappear. This post is going to be not just about Ukrainian women but about Ukrainian people generally and the customs they have.
Ukraine is a pretty young country and many people used to think that Ukrainians are the same as Russians. Well, now people all over the world know the difference since the war dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s. But we are not going to discuss this senseless war now. You may have heard about one of the strongest kingdoms of old times - Kyiv Rus. Yes, it’s who we are and who we came from. Ukrainians as a nation have a long history, we are one of the oldest nations that appeared on this earth. Unfortunately, the path to freedom and good life was not easy and we are still working on that.
Let me back to the interesting facts I wanted to share about Ukrainian women. Our parents are the first people who bring a significant contribution to the making up of a personality. That’s why most of the habits Ukrainian women take from their mothers. The value of the family is taught since the daughter is born. The rate of divorce in Ukraine is lower than in other countries because once the woman did the choice, she will do everything to keep the marriage. Yes, we are still old-fashioned in many aspects and society still puts on divorced women special tags. There are pluses and minuses in old traditions. Of course, it’s bad to judge and to put a tag but on the other hand, this makes the value of family stronger and reduces the number of divorces. I don’t try to say that there are no divorced. There are and unfortunately pretty many but still, fewer than in other countries.
Nowadays people in all countries talk about equality between the woman and the man. It seems that many women understand it too direct. Ukrainian women are a little different about this. Yes, a Ukrainian woman is mentally strong, independent, confident, and spiritually free but when she is with her man, she is just a small girl who wants to be hugged and cared for. Since childhood, a Ukrainian girl is taught that the head of the family is a father and that the last decision is always after him. There is a popular saying in Ukraine: a man is a head and a woman is a neck, wherever the neck turns, the head looks in that direction. The meaning is that the man thinks he is the main and everything is good until the man believes in that)))
I will share a small story of my friend to explain to you another point about Ukrainian women. My friend traveled to Greece with another friend. Of course, they enjoyed Greece a lot and when she came back she shared her impression. She asked me: “Do you know what the biggest confusion was?”. I was intrigued to hear the answer. Then she told me that people were staring at them all the time and they couldn’t understand why. Anywhere they go, they got a lot of attention and glances. After a few days of staying, they understood the reason: they were wearing dresses every day. It was a shock for men there because women wear dresses rarely. Yes, a Ukrainian woman has a confident thought that a woman is a woman first of all and then already a wife, a mother, and so on. When you go to Ukraine you may notice that)))
Well, these are some important points that a Ukrainian woman has. Of course, it´s not all)) A Ukrainian woman is like an endless investigation, no matter how long you know her, you will still find something interesting. But for today, I am going to finish this.
